Sew Day Fun

We had a great time at Sew Day last weekend. Mary did a wonderful job hostessing. There were fab snacks and much laughter. The space is large and there were plenty of large tables. Cubicle style dividers provided design wall space.

Jaime (our very own bag queen) had a couple of beautiful bags that she was using as she worked on a charity quilt. The hexie bag in front is the Catch All Caddy from By Annie.

Although it was not a charity Sew Day, many people took the Sew Day opportunity to work on charity projects.
The above was inspired by a quilt on the front of a 2013 issue of Quiltmania's Simply Moderne. Jaye and Gerre are making a boy version using the plaids and a 'pushed neutral' background.

Lynette worked on her Swoon quilt, finishing up with Big Stitch using Perl Cotton. Bonnie worked on her improv quilt, hoping to enter it in the fair. Patti brought her Accuquilt cutter and many of us were able to take a cutting shortcut by using it. Thanks for sharing, Patti!

Hope to see you next time!
